Our History

Self Esteem International, initially founded under The National Legacy Foundation's fiscal sponsorship, collaborates with various organizations like Job Corps of Atlanta and urban homeless shelters, reaching over 6,000 individuals with life skills seminars, workforce workshops, and health education. Thanks to grants from Comcast and DeKalb County, the organization offers impactful six-hour workshops for women transitioning to the workforce in DeKalb County, providing certificates of completion and boosting self-esteem for over 150 participants annually. Additionally, through its Back To School Event, Self Esteem International supports over 100 South DeKalb children with school supplies, grooming products, and clothing, with the assistance of community partners such as Elasta QP, Regis Hair Salons, and Publix Supermarkets.
